It was another busy weekend of basketball for Kildare Gliders, with teams across the club taking to the court and representing us with pride!

Special Mention: U14 Girls
Our U14 Girls kicked off their season today with a tough game away in Athlone. Despite the challenge, this new team showed fantastic determination, teamwork and commitment, giving it their all from start to finish.
Marion, our Girls Secretary, was particularly proud of the team’s performance and wanted to share a special message:
“A huge well done to our U14 girls! It was a very tough game for this new team, but they played brilliantly, showed great determination and gave it their all.
Everyone at Kildare Gliders is incredibly proud of you all. Keep working hard, keep believing, and most importantly, keep enjoying the game!“
U20 Men Show Great Fight
A special well done also goes to our U20 Men, who competed with just five players this weekend. They kept the game level until the closing stages, showing great resilience and determination despite having no substitutes available.
With a few extra players available, the result could have been different. We’re confident the team will continue to grow stronger as the season progresses!
Thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters for another weekend of commitment, teamwork and club spirit. Every game is an opportunity to learn, improve and grow together.
